Courtyard Church

Hungry for live church?

On Sunday, Oct. 11, at 10 AM, we invite you to join us on the courtyard of our sister church, True Hope Community, or live via Zoom. Pastor John will share a message entitled, “What the Powerful Do Not Know”, from 1 Corinthians 2.

Anyone is welcome, up to county limits. Those who attend will need to be symptom free, have their temperature checked, sanitize hands, wear a mask, and maintain a safe social distance of six feet from others who are not members of their household. We do this to maintain the safest possible environment for our guests. It’s working! We’re meeting and having a blessed time with a small group.

R-E-S-P-E-C-T

Please join us Sunday at 10:00 AM, via Zoom. Currently, Pastor John is sharing a series of messages entitled R-E-S-P-E-C-T, a series on grace, love, and respect, based on the book of 1 Corinthians in the Bible.

1 Corinthians is the first of Paul’s letters to the Church in Corinth, one of the largest and most influential cities in ancient Greece. It is a disciplinary letter that calls the church to unity, morality, humility, and generosity. It exalts the sacrificial character of love.

We hope you’ll join us for this insightful and relevant study.

The Psalms

A Shepherd and His Sheep

Please join us Sunday at 10:00 AM, via Zoom. We’re currently a 12-week series on the Psalms.

The Psalms are a collection of prayers, songs, and poetry, written by a variety of authors though-out the history of Israel. With songs of praise, laments, cries for mercy, and shouts of joy, the Psalms touch the heights and the depths of human experience. They also point us toward the coming Messiah, whom we know as Jesus Christ. Some of the most inspiring and quotable scriptures come from the Psalms; we welcome you to this inspiring series.

If you’d like a study guide to help you follow along, order Psalms: A 12-Week Study (Knowing the Bible), by Douglas Sean O’Donnell, available at Amazon.

The Sermon on the Mount

Christ Preaching the Sermon on the Mount

Beginning April 19, we shall embark on a series of messages on the Sermon on the Mount.

Jim Wicker, professor of New Testament at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, wrote, “This sublime sermon bursts with object lessons, humor, hyperbole, proverbs, paradox, symbolism, and high prose. It plumbs the depths of ethics, philosophy, and theology, yet with much practical application. A delight to read, it reflects ethos and pathos, covering a wide range of passions and emotions, but it is also both convicting and challenging.”

During the Shelter-in-Place order, we’ll continue to meet weekly on Sundays at 10:00 AM, via Zoom. Click here to join the meeting.
